All right. Let’s continue with presenting my work from Element.

Zoran Predin. (born June 16, 1958) is a musician from Maribor, Slovenia. He was the front man of Lačni Franz, and writes music for film, television and theater. Very well known slovenian singer.

This time I had 3 minutes to take few pictures after the interview. He was already late for another one. It was a nice shooting.

As you probably know I work at the best student’s magazine in Slovenia called Element as a photographic editor. We are getting better and better with every issue. We have done some big interviews and I want to show you my contribution and work in the following posts. Every day I will publish one post with one well known person from Slovenia.

What I try to do is to take some good pictures of these people after the interview. That can be an impossible task because I only have few minutes avaliable, no-one who assist, no make-up or styling…

But it is possible and I try to get something out in those few minutes. Usually it looks like this; there is a 15-30 minutes long interview and then I have 3-15 minutes to take pictures. In most cases it is 5 minutes. Becuase I should be doing classic interview shots during the interview but I try to motivate them for a small photo session at the end.

Wikipedia: Jonas Žnidaršič (born 1962-01-30 in Novo mesto) is a Slovenian television personality and journalist. He is best known for hosting the Slovenian version of Who wants to be a Millionaire.

My brother is an amazing boy. He has that really intellegent mind. I respect him a lot. His passion is basketball.

My passion in photography is definetly also a portrait photography. And you know what? I feel like I am totally at the beginnng. Something like being on 10-20%. I am really looking forward to learn and study it as much as possible. That will be also the genre which I will focus on in the future and when I will study photography in London or New York.

All right; by the response these images obviously need some sort of explanation. Many pointed out that basketball ball and football goal do not fit together. Well in fact I really haven’t tought about it at all! It seems that as I know this village’s playground so well I never found that goal as a mistake. Playground is very small in connected you see. And as it comes out pictures may have many interpretations and it depends from what kind of angle you are looking at them. But definetly it is a very personal collection of images. Thanks.

Na natečaju lahko sodelujejo dijaki in dijakinje, študentje in študentke ter mladi (status dijaka/študenta ni pogoj) do vključno 27. leta starosti, s stalnim prebivališčem v Sloveniji.

Vse prispele fotografije bo pregledala in ocenila žirija v sestavi:
Joco Žnidaršič, Aleš Bravničar, Zvone Šeruga, Ciril Jazbec, Maja Kukovec

Avtorji treh najboljših fotografij bodo prejeli bogate nagrade:
povratne letalske vozovnice na eni od novih rednih letalskih linij Adrie Airways v letu 2008: Atene, Bukarešta, Oslo ali Stockholm
priznanja Fotografske zveze Slovenije
vrednostni boni za storitve v podjetju Foto Grad Ljubljana
povečave fotografij v Dia studiu v Ljubljani

Najboljše fotografije bodo razstavljene:
v nakupovalnem središču Citypark
v okviru Ljubljanske potniške razstave na enem od mestnih avtobusov Ljubljanskega potniškega prometa
