There are only a handful of true media legends in Slovenia. Miša Molk is definitely one of them. She is a journalist and a television personality, a producer and an editor. Jana magazine did an interview with her and her daugher, Ula Furlan, who is an up-and-coming Slovenian actress. Miša Molk called me up and asked if I would do the photos for the magazine cover and the article, saying she liked my style of photography. Of course I was happy to accept - you don’t say no to a request like that!

The photos turned out great, we were all very pleased. I used a 50mm and 35mm lens. Special thanks to Barbara Žgalin for excellent styling. Everything was shot in Miša Molk’s appartment, making this a very relaxed and productive photoshoot. I wanted to capture the charisma of both Miša and Ula, together with a moment of intimacy between them. The photos in Vanity Fair magazine were my inspiration this time.

The jury of the 19th Slovenian advertising festival (SOF) really made my day on thursday. I was the winner in the Best advertising photo category! The photograph was done for the Pattex brand!

And while I did claim the award at the ceremony, I can’t claim all the credit, of course – a lot of it goes to Imelda Ogilvy advertising agency for coming up with the creative and of course for bringing me on board the project in the first place. So this award is as much theirs as it is mine. And it’s great motivation for the future! Thanks as well to Ana Lazovski for her wonderful make-up work.

Jure Požun is an award-winning creative director from Imelda Ogilvy advertising agency. The photos were done for an article in Marketing Magazin. The photoshoot took place in the recently renovated Museum of Modern Art in Ljubljana. It provides a great environment to work with! And I have to say Jure was also great to work with, I’m very pleased with the photos.
