A new nation-wide campaign against speeding has just been launched by the Slovenian Ministry of Transport. The creative was done by advertising agency arnoldvuga+, while production was handled by VPK. Speed is still the number one cause of fatal traffic accidents, so this time we’re saying »thank you!« to all the drivers who are not speeding. I’m hoping there will be a lot more of them because of this campaign.

The TV ad, print ads and out-of-home ads all feature ordinary people saying »thank you for not speeding.« I had to do the photos during the filming of the TV ad, so there wasn’t a lot of time for each of the portraits. 15 were made altogether and the best ones were then selected for the billboard and print ads. It was actually quite amusing listening to »thank you« after »thank you« after »thank you« … all day long. If you wish to say »thank you« as well, you can do so on the official site of the campaign – hvalati.si (Slovene only, unfortunately).

I’m very happy with the results, I think the photos turned out great and they deliver the message in a very positive tone! I can’t wait to see them from my car! But more than that, I’m glad and proud to have been a part of a project that will, hopefully, save lives and make our roads a little bit safer.
